June 23, 3 NB Rotarians and a guest were treated to an in-depth tour of Mayorga Organics, recipients of our Club’s first Business of the Year Award. Thanks to Linda for organizing this fascinating experience. We now know more about coffee than anyone else in North Bethesda! Participants on the tour were Steve Vaccarezza, Ron Sigelman and his guest and John Waterston.

The event was held last Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Normandie Farm Restaurant in Potomac MD. The Madrigal Singers are from Walter Johnson High School and gave a great performance! Santa had gifts for all the kids in attendance. Decorations were done by Victoria Feldman and her daughter.

For the third year running, the Club donated school supplies and backpacks to Interfaith Works for distribution to needy families in Montgomery County. Our donation was accepted by Interfaith Works on Saturday, August 15th, at an annual gala: the Park Potomac Ice Cream Social for Charity. Due to the COVID pandemic, this year’s program was replaced by a parade up Park Potomac Avenue. The Club’s parade banner was proudly carried by our members; our position was behind an antique fire truck and in front of the P.O.M. Squad of talented young cheerleaders. While the enthusiastic crowd treated themselves to free hot dogs and Italian ices, Club members distributed flyers for our upcoming Club-sponsored COVID Challenge Fundraiser.
