Fey is an architecture teacher at Thomas Edison High School of Technology. She instructs students in a two-year program on the Principles of Architecture and CAD technology. Fey is a native of Washington, DC, and studied international studies at Trinity College and architecture at Morgan State University. She worked in the architectural field for eight years before joining the Thomas Edison High School of Technology construction cluster. Currently, she is the department chair for the Construction Cluster.

Over the past eleven years, more than 220,000 Comfort Cases and duffel bags have been to children in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. Rob will be joining us via Zoom.

Ron is President and CEO of the Public Health Foundation (PHF).  Under his leadership, PHF has focused its efforts on developing and implementing innovative strategies for improving performance of public health agencies and systems. Initiatives include developing performance management and quality improvement tools and training for public health professionals; developing the consensus set of Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals; and creating the Nation’s most comprehensive public health learning management system. Ron last spoke to our club in November 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a passionate advocate for preserving and sharing African American history, Alex has dedicated his career to bringing the stories of Harriet Tubman and the black watermen of the Chesapeake Bay to life.

We’re also hoping to have Marilyn Cruz, Assistant Governor of District 7620, chat with us about membership development and the Red Line Rotary series of happy hours.

Lasse Syversen is Past President of our club and Paul Harris Fellow.  Lasse has 50 years of experience from the shipping and IT industry and currently chairman of Flagship Trade Net. Being born in Norway he is board member of many Trans-Atlantic organizations actively working to strengthen the relationship between the United States and the Nordic countries. For many years he has written monthly articles about the culture and business to our neighbors cross the ocean.

This week he will talk about The Nordic Council; The neighboring countries in the north recognized the value of cooperation in 1952 and agreed to meet on a regular basis to see how they could work together. “Nordisk Råd” is the official body for formal inter-parliamentary Nordic cooperation among the Nordic countries. The council has eighty-seven representatives from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, as well as from the autonomous areas of the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland.
