Upper Rock Creek Bike Eco-Tour May 18
Please join us on Saturday, May 18, 2013 for North Bethesda Rotary’s Upper Rock Creek Bike Eco-Tour. This is the tenth anniversary of our annual bike fundraiser, which supports our scholarship program and other needs in our community. This year we will ride the beautiful Rock Creek Trail from Garrett Park, Maryland, north to Lake Needwood, and return for the famous North Bethesda Rotary picnic lunch. Our co-sponsor, the Rock Creek Conservancy, will help us learn about the park, its history, and how the upper watershed is so important to Montgomery County’s environment. Total length of the ride is about 15 miles, with several stops along the way.
The fee for the event is $15. The starting time is 9:30 AM, Saturday, May 18, 2013. Start and finish, as well as the picnic lunch, are at Viers Mill Local Park, 4425 Garrett Park Road (at Beach Drive), Wheaton, MD.
