Muhammad Kehnemouyi – Montgomery College
Dr. Kehnemouyi is Interim Vice President/Povost at Montgomery College’s Germantown Campus and directs the Collegewide STEM Unit for the entire school. He holds an MS and PhD in mechanical engineering from The George Washington University and a BS degree in chemical engineering from Tehran Polytechnic Institute. He is a registered professional engineer (PE) since 1988. In 1983, he joined Montgomery College’s Department of Physics, Engineering, and Geosciences. He became the chair of that department in 1999. He is currently collegewide dean for Science, Engineering, and Technology.
Feyishara Adelekan – Thomas Edison High School of Technology
Fey is an architecture teacher at Thomas Edison High School of Technology. She instructs students in a two-year program on the Principles of Architecture and CAD technology. Fey is a native of Washington, DC, and studied international studies at Trinity College and architecture at Morgan State University. She worked in the architectural field for eight years before joining the Thomas Edison High School of Technology construction cluster. Currently, she is the department chair for the Construction Cluster.
Rob Scheer – Comfort Cases
Maryland resident Rob Scheer is founder of Comfort Cases, a nationwide program of distributing backpacks to children leaving the foster care system. Over the past eleven years, more than 220,000 Comfort Cases and duffel bags have been to children in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. Rob will be joining us via Zoom.
Robert Milam – The White House Historical Association
Robert Milam is manager of the White House History Shop and Corporate Sales for the White House Historical Association. He is from Reading, England, and has been in the United States for over 30 years, 25 of those in the Washington, D.C., area. He has worked for retailers Burberry and Brooks Brothers in various management positions, plus has worked for 5 years in Corporate sales.
Ron Bialek – Public Health Foundation
Ron is President and CEO of the Public Health Foundation (PHF). Under his leadership, PHF has focused its efforts on developing and implementing innovative strategies for improving performance of public health agencies and systems. Initiatives include developing performance management and quality improvement tools and training for public health professionals; developing the consensus set of Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals; and creating the Nation’s most comprehensive public health learning management system. Ron last spoke to our club in November 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alex Green – Harriet Tubman Tours
Mr. Green is the founder of Harriet Tubman Tours in Cambridge, MD, will join us via Zoom for a virtual tour of the Eastern Shore’s legendary Harriet Tubman. As a passionate advocate for preserving and sharing African American history, Alex has dedicated his career to bringing the stories of Harriet Tubman and the black watermen of the Chesapeake Bay to life.
We’re also hoping to have Marilyn Cruz, Assistant Governor of District 7620, chat with us about membership development and the Red Line Rotary series of happy hours.
Claes Ryn – The Four Way Test and What it Asks of Us!
Claes will discuss the history, meaning, and purpose of the test and how it sets priorities for clubs and individual members. It regards character–understood in an ecumenical manner–as central to the mission of Rotary. The test helps define the meaning of “vocational service.”

Lasse Syversen – The Nordic Council
Lasse Syversen is Past President of our club and Paul Harris Fellow. Lasse has 50 years of experience from the shipping and IT industry and currently chairman of Flagship Trade Net. Being born in Norway he is board member of many Trans-Atlantic organizations actively working to strengthen the relationship between the United States and the Nordic countries. For many years he has written monthly articles about the culture and business to our neighbors cross the ocean.
This week he will talk about The Nordic Council; The neighboring countries in the north recognized the value of cooperation in 1952 and agreed to meet on a regular basis to see how they could work together. “Nordisk Råd” is the official body for formal inter-parliamentary Nordic cooperation among the Nordic countries. The council has eighty-seven representatives from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, as well as from the autonomous areas of the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland.
Dave Fitzwilliam – Classification Talk
This year, Dave will celebrate the 70th anniversary of his graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1954.
Dace joined Rotary in 1962 and The North Bethesda club in 1982. There are many stories to tell, including those of many years at IBM.
